A fanlisting is a website created by a fan of a particular subject, with the aim of gathering together a list (either in database format or hardcoded HTML) of other fans of that particular subject. The actual concept has probably been around for a long time but the term 'fanlisting' as a one-word noun was first used when Janine Mischor created The Fanlistings Network in 2000.



For a long time I struggled with the meaning of fanlistings until a friend { Anukk } gave me the best explanation ~ "There is no deeper meaning. Just the fun of being fan, getting listed with other fans at one place and doing all the graphical stuff and programming." That's it. And so I thought about it and liked the idea of trying it too ~ and... here we are.


I'm not sure what kind of fanlistings will be up here soon ~ definitely some Julian McMahon related as he's my all time favorite - but there is more on my mind and if I can make up some time I'll let you know and see.

I will check the networks and apply if there are chances to get approved. However ~ if the seat is already taken but I "need" to do a special fanlisting {like a Julian McMahon one} I will run it without being approved. Just in case you wonder.
